Hey guys,

So I just had my first dabble in a mazza, bought a 2008 granturismo 4.2

Was wondering if anyone knew of any carbon fibre specialists to put a front valance and rear spoiler on her?

Also which is the best/nicest sounding back box?

Merry Christmas!

Hi Fatdog and welcome to the fold. See you're in North Wales, must be fairly close to me. If you want a Carbon Fibre front valance and rear spoiler you can buy them from Maserati. As far as I'm aware there aren't any after market ones in the UK. If someone were to make you one, it'd probably be prohibitively expensive. Some people do the carbon fibre wrap thing for £2/300, but in my opinion it would spoil the car. If you want CF bits, they need to be real and the stuff costs a fortune.
Regards backboxes, Marios at Autoshield will be able to sort some out for you, he can get Larini ones for you or have them custom made to your taste.

Oh that's great.. I'm actually in llay half way between Chester and wrexham

I'm guessing larini are the most popular? And I will contact maserati maybe it would be cheaper to by a 4.7 boot that is breaking maybe..

Do you go to Stockport for your services/parts etc? Stratstone

I know Llay well, used to live in Caergwrle and Rossett. Autoshield Maserati are the people I use for parts, repair, servicing and inspections. They're in Chorlton, Manchester M21 8AU.

Someone on here who recently sold a silver 4.2 had all the CF bits fitted. He imported them himself.

Cant remember who (think his name was ~Richard from Scotland)

Hi fatdog, welcome to the forum. Great shout going for the CF front and rear spoilers - will improve the appearance of the car and (unusually for mods) actually add some value too. You should find the rear bootlid spoiler from Maserati will fit your 4.2 bootlid. In fact, as I understand it, the 4.7 cars with Mc sportline CF bits fitted have the rear bootlid changed from the standard 4.7 S to the 4.2 bootlid before the rear MC sportline CF rear spoiler is fitted.
