I've read the majority of posts on this forum to acquaint myself with the possible problems in owning a Maserati and it's reassuring to find that it seems the pleasure far outweighs the pain. I hope to learn from the experience of others and take heed of all the recommendations that have been made on this site.
I have loved the marque for many years but sometimes life just gets in the way of doing what you really want to do but now I have decided that my priorities are different. I do love forced induction engines and don't think that performance statistics can ever reflect the 'on the road driving experience' of turbo power. The mid range punch is incomparable. I've have been a SAAB fan for a long time and love their B234R engine which will reliably produce 400hp from the standard block - not expecting the same reliability from a Maser though.
Living in Scotland, I can foresee a fair bit of travelling before I find what I'm looking for.
