New V12 Vantage

I get that Aston want to appeal to a younger market. But surely that’s only appealing to a 12 year old, and he’s not gong to buy one. They have to find a better balance between style and aggression.

Nope, I like the new range and visiting Dick Lovett at the weekend and seeing these wonderful
machines in the flesh I love them even more. I have driven the new Vantage and it does everything better than the old car and by a big margin. Yes looks divide which is fine as we can’t all like the same but it is an amazing sports car to drive and for me to look at.

To be honest It is irrelevant what we think of the new V12 Vantage as they were all sold out as soon as Aston released info.

Sorry Andy - I was only referring to car T7 MHL individually. I didn’t mean to come across as being derogatory of the whole AM range. And I certainly don’t doubt that the current range are dynamically the best they've ever built.

With regards to looks, when it comes to cars it appears they don’t matter any more. The best selling Aston is their SUV. The best selling Porsche is their SUV. The best selling Lambo is their SUV. The best selling Bentley is their SUV. And surely no one thinks these are the best looking cars these manufacturers make?

The World has definitely gone mad.

Ah, right… Sorry Ewan fully understand and completely agree. Yes it does seem that these companies worse looking cars are their best sellers and that probably extends to others manufacturers as well as the desire for these SUV’s just doesn’t seem to be going away.

Still a big fan of the baby V8 Vantage, 4.3 or 4.7 before they started adding vents and spoilers - just one of the best looking coupes ever maybe one day.

I do agree Andy the 4.3/4.7 old Vantage for me is the best looking coupe still on the roads. Not a bad angle…Elegant, pretty with the just the right amount of aggression. They got this one just right design wise..

I do realise that there is more to rear spoilers than aerodynamics, but may I point out that the one on the boot of this car, like the one on mine, is good for 170mph and I have no intention of ever driving anywhere at that speed (mainly for fear of damaging the upholstery.)

This would do me, 4.3 low mileage with lighter interior and memory seats - they just look right

V8 Vantage

If I had around 30k to spend on an early Vantage Andy I think it this would be the one I looked at first..

I’ve seen it a few times for sale over the years and with that very desirable Bamford Rose upgrade it has 420/430 BHP so the same as the 4.7. Interior will not be for everyone though but I love it.

I quite like the interior and the BR spec but having a very short wife memory seats would be a big plus point - however wife and children are all saying the classics are staying

House and garaging rather nice, too.

The seats can be whatever colour, all these buttons just remind me of the Vader chap.

Well after all this time you have been saying the Vader dash I never really understood what you meant. Thought you meant it was just really black but I was looking at one for sale at Dick Lovett and it hit me….Darth Vader. You are spot on with that…Sometimes it can be a little late on the uptake… :)
