looks nicer then the Porsche but i dont think it will sell, isn't it going to be priced at about 80K?

If it looks like that for 80k..Christ why will it not sell.................Don't forget that before the Elise Lotus had products higher up the tree with the Esprit, Excel etc..This is not new for them tp be chasing Porsche/Ferrari...Difference is it would seem this time they have a fighting chance............

because Lotus dont make 80k cars, the Evora is 50k and i have never seen one on the road, a lot of people i dont think will pay that amount of money for a Lotus

Ah but they did...The last Esprit was 60 plus k when it left us and that would be around 80/100k in todays money I would imagine........Lotus have not always been about track day cars Adam. There are Lotus fans out there waiting for a car that can be used everyday and will to pay for a good product...Lotus went back to their roots with the Elise but Colin Chapman was after the big money well before........Watch this space as this could be the biggest upset to the establishment for ages.................Or a massive flop......I hope the first.

yeah i agree, i hope lotus do well and are a major success with these new models, time will tell.

Suppose the other thing is that the Evora doesn't look like a 50/60k car no matter how good it is but these new machines have an expensive look to them..They just look in a different league to whats gone before...

Lotus has the clout to compete at £100K never mind £80K. Small volume undoubtedly, but their reputation for engineering and self evident flair for design will make this very do-able.

Certainly do Miles...Just look at some of the cars they have been involved in..Aston Vanquish......

Think that car looks WOOOOOWWWWW. Would be more than happy if thats what I replace the 4200 with...at the right price.

Should be cheeper to run that the current car.

Just watched the Paris Motor Show on Motors TV...What a let down, some Frnch Chick presenting her fave 3 cars, Audi r8gt, Bentley Speed coupe...and New Maserati GT with matt blue paint...and as the camera man was french he just focused on her bum and boobs...and just a close up of the Masers' paint WHERES THE RUDDY CAR MATE...even Sophie was disapointed and said she's not that fit!

Back to post, on the same programe they had the new Lotus Europa, with a engine from Lexus 100,000. Euro

Yes they will be Lexus engines....Europa will be a 5 Litre 600bhp I believe 0-60 3.5 secs......All Engines will be based on Lexus/Toyota I would imagine as they have a deal/partnership with them......They will use the engine from that Super car Lexus has just bought out I think.........The Europa is the one with the elasic band as well...The 4 door is just a thumping big engine I believe...
