Welcome Spoons. You will find lots of help, advice and suggestions on here when you need it. Some of us might even get it right. :D

Hope you take the time to check it out thoroughly before hitting the Welsh twisters especially if she is wearing PZeros.

Ps. My nickname was Mr Spoons or Spoony when I was an apprentice.

Welcome along but to get a full inspection done on your GT especially being an early one as there are repairs that can cost dearly.
Hopefully they have been addressed.
Bon Chance.

Welcome Mr Spoon. I must say, it has been a lifetime ambition of mine to meet you and find out how to make a baked bean tin into a rocket.

Slightly disappointed that you have chopped the bean tin in for a Megane, but times change.

Congrats on your new car, it looks spiffing, and shouldn’t vibrate as much as your Megane. I am over Northampton way, there is getting to be quite a few of us in this neck of the woods.

Welcome.

Car looks nice and I hope it gives you loads of joy.

As Phil has mentioned get it checked out - these early cars tend to have rusty subframes which need to be fixed before they fail an MOT or worse.

Welcome to the club, and good choice of motor.
I suspect it'll feel big and not very pointy in the twisties compared to your race prep'd megan, but it'll be much more comfortable, look better and sound amazing. Driving a Maserati is always an occasion.

As you said you've purchased unseen and untested, I'd echo the comments above, and DEFINATELY get it inspected first. Even if your handy with the spanners, there are a few jobs that can drain the piggybank pretty quickly due to parts prices and availability!
Just make sure its a specialist that knows these cars inside out, as a generic inspection probably won't cut it.

If you need recommendations for an inspection, ask here and tell us where you are. Would probably cost less than £200, and could save you 10x that easily.

Now we've all turned your excitement into nervousness, enjoy!

Welcome - and we are just up the road in Pershore - like you we like the twisty's and quite often have a sunny runout to Monmouth and Forest of Dean (not that that is seriously twisty)

Welcome Spoons.
Never been in your neck of the woods. But, from 'semi up close',
it looks like a pretty little place.
Surrounded as you are, by places like, Wyre Piddle, ***** Lane in Upton upon Severn
and Bell End, life must be endlessly amusing.
Nice colour btw. Understated. Just as a Maserati ought to be ;)

Welcome! Looks like an interesting colour but I can’t quite make out what it is, looks matte to me, possibly a wrap? Very brave man Mr Spoon, buying a Maser unsighted but if the price was right, who knows, keeping my fingers crossed for you. Certainly worthwhile trying to piece together as much history as you can so you know what’s done and when, that will help with eliminating issues as you progress with ownership.Might be worth getting “Post”PI done so you know what’s coming (or not).

CORRECTION - its a matte wrap grey, with Metallic - Blu Nettuno (Dark Blue) as the paint underneath.

Brave maybe, stupid maybe, fun most definitely :D

To be fair, I've never even sat in one or even looked through the window. Closet I've been is I think a chap has one a few streets away, but thats it. I say think, haven't seen it for sometime

Welcome. Sometimes it’s fun just to take a risk on a car as you can always sell it if is not to your taste. Nettuno is a great colour if you don’t like the wrap.

I was in Evesham in the summer, PIA roadworks in the town centre. Hope they have now gone! Get it up Fish Hill at a quiet time using both lanes for a blast with the windows down.

The original Blu Nettuno is actually a very nice combination with the light interior - as long as it has a sport button you’ll be fine ;)
