I've not driven a DB9 so can only vouch for the GTS, which I love. It's a delight to drive, looks to die for, an incredibly charismatic car with an exhaust note which brightens up the darkest of days. It's as easy to drive round town as it is on a long run. People seem to like it too: it makes passers by smile and attracts positive attention. Best of all, the good advise and lively banter on this forum is almost certainly better than you'll find anywhere.

There, there's your mind made up

Adam I agree with everything you say. The Turismo mcshift is much more fun than the DB9. Just have to decide if I want to be James Bond or an Italian Stallion, ho,ho.
More seriously going to look at a Volante that saves me £15k and for a Sunday car that scratches an itch that's a lot of dosh.
Woody absolutely agree with you too and as my wife drives topless, sorry I mean a convertible crossfire I have the option.
As it happens you guys are friendlier and more helpful than some in the amoc forum. Some of them are a bit up themselves but please don't quote me as some are very nice.

Early DB9's from what I gather are not the most reliable.....scuttle shake is well known, steering issue at slow speed/parking rings a bell and gearbox changes are sloppy. Then there's the useless back seats.....whereas Mazza now has an excellent rep and space galore on the GTS.

Now you know what we mean about the noise.....don't even have to drive quickly to experience it. I've driven alongside a DB9 in town and he was totally outgunned.....and had to floor it to try to compete......spoilt his day, but made mine!

Have you watched the "top gear Australia Granturismo GTS review" It's a good one...on you tube! Does the Bond comparison.....

Cheers Wattie

go Stallion, Stevieg. You'll never look back a that extra £15k will be forgotten at the first turn of the key.

That and the red trousers !
You lot have convinced me.
So if you could all please have a whip round and raise the extra £15k I would be most grateful.
Cheers lads.

Fantastic! Well done.

Interest rates are very low... :)

But just as helpfully prices even between main dealers vary enormously as far as i could tell when i was hunting for mine last spring. So shop around and talk to Dicky Grace as well as Nareman at Nuvola.

Adam,
That sounds like the old James Bond, that Scottish chap, remember, or they are as pi55ed as farts when saying it?
Dem,
Mansfield is OK mate, get moved up here and start enjoying life. You would be surrounded by cracking countryside, a lot less bull 5hit and a more competitive living standard.
Cheers
