Anyone of us here tried to replace the Kaiser Valve? The valve is behind the engine, below several hoses. The valve itself is connected to the air filter via a long tube, and to the brake servo and vacuum pump via two short tubes.
Can i replace the valve without removing anything major? How can i gain access to the valve?
The thing is No.6 in the diagram. Thanks in advance!

I replaced it with removing nothing, just moved some pipes out the way slightly, it is a pain in the **** job though

Beau may you tell me what made you replace the valve?
I am told the Kayser valve maybe the reason why there is a loud air noise when the engine rev above 2-3000rpm. The brake is also weak at the moment.
Did replacing solve your problem?

Mine was causing the brake pedal to go hard, and a whistle noise, it fixed my issues

Maybe a silly question but how does one find out if this valve is fitted?
one can see it whether its there or not, also the 3200 which should have a Kaiser Valve have a connector on the left side air filter box as indicated on the diagramm above, the early versions have no connector so both air filter boxes look the same.

Also interesting: how can I identyfy a broken Kaiser Valve when it is not installed (so when I have a used spare part). Is there a test I can do before installing it?

I believe there are one way valve inside the valve body. You may check whether they are closing properly. Maybe blowing into it from all three openings?

It's just for the servo vacuum assistance, and yes you can check it by suck/blowing the valve

but how would be the exact procedure, as its 3 way "valve/venturi booster" its not that simple as the other valves.

My assumtions:
no pressure should reach form engine to brake booster, so valve should be blocked if "to air filter" is blocked
so also blocked with vacuum on brake booster connector (so vacuum should stay there)

something else what can be tested?

Hi

there should be an indicator "motor" and some arrows on the light grey side of the valve, the arrows point to the "motor"=engine

Haa brill so the pipe from airbox sucks then .iv put new air filtters on for better sound but will need to do some sort of fitter for this pipe then as well weard that it sucks tho . Whats yours like if you plant it mine dont seem very good at all its gutless till about 5500rpm is this norm ??

Sounds like you're losing boost. When I put my foot to the floor it's like being in the Millennium Falcon after 2000 rpm....

The 3200 is manic when the tubo's kick in, so you definitely have have an issue somewhere. You said you checked the waste gate which dumps pressure..??

I used to have the same power, severe under power on my 3200gt. Finally found out to be a loose pipe connecting the left turbo and intercooler. You may want to remove the bumper and check all connections.
