Hi all

I'm looking for a replacement OEM radio for my QPV (M139 facelift). Apparently this is called a 'Silver Box NIT and is part number 980139925 (although there seem to be many variant numbers).

So this:
8554085541

I don't think the GT one fits, as the faceplate (maybe available separately) is different but also the GT has a different fitting system.

I would be happy to have a good used one from a breaker. Or even one that is 'for parts' if the on-off switch is ok (and someone can swap it over). On my current one the on-off button isn't working properly, sometimes refusing to switch on, and other times coming on by itself.

Also, I would be interested in hearing about any electronics experts who might be able to get inside the unit and fix/replace the switch itself.

I really don't want to spend £3k on a new one! I really wish I had switched over the one on my old QP before upgrading!

Mark I used these guys in the past for bmw radio repairs. They have been going a long time now.

Good luck with the fix, at least you knew there was a problem before you bought the car though.

There is a Granturismo unit on eBay, perhaps the internals are the same and the on off button could be swapped over?
