Mystery Socket - Granturismo Boot

My Stradale has a socket on the right hand side wall inside of the boot which I have not seen before. It doesn't seem to be OEM and is branded as Burndy. It was already on the car when Craig acquired it when it was less than a year old. Does anyone know what this could be?
Thanks all

It’s for a trickle charger, 2014 onwards Ferraris have the same socket.

I would have loved it to be for a flux capacitor Sam!

Thanks for that Richard, so will this have been an OEM socket, hard wired into the battery from the factory when new? I am guessing that you have seen these on other Maseratis of this age? It's a new one in me

Thanks

I don’t recall having seen them but I’ve had few Maseratis post 2016 MY.

Interesting, but having seen it in Ferraris you would assume it to be OE then Richard?
I’d assume so given the fitment type and if @CLRut didn’t fit it then you’d think it OEM. Someone with a 16 onwards GT should be along to say if their car has one soon.

It's the same as the one in my Ferrari FF boot so I think Dicky is 100% right. Ferrari all have these from about 2010 to 2015 (and all Ferraris come with the F branded CTek). From 2015 they actually moved these on Ferrari to under the rear bumpers so you don't have to open the boot and trap the cable to trickle charge them.

July 2016 Stradale - just a standard 12v cigarette lighter socket on the passenger side of the boot. How disappointing!

This looks like it, I think.

It is indeed this one. I bought this cable, tried it out and voila - it works, so I don't need the eyelet or clamp type connectors directly connected to the battery. Of course, it does the same thing but is a little tidier in the boot - happy days

Thanks chaps
