Thats just it they dont, it feels fast and it handles brilliantly, its light and goes very quickly......

i might try and dig out a picture of my dad's old 2001 Rover 25 which was gold. Think he had sniffed paint stripper when he was buying that.

Don't knock Rover Adam. I used to borrow my Dad's company (J-reg) Rover Coupe and everytime you could tell he was worried it wouldn't come back in one piece.

Best still, the company used to fill it full of petrol and clean the car evey Monday morning - you won't get that sort of company car scheme running anymore!

that is good company car service, my dad has had 2 rovers, had a p reg silver rover 214 before the gold 25, the silver one did 150k miles and then died.

what was the 205 GTI like?? I go past a peugeot specialist just ouside of nantwich quite often, always have a couple of nice 205 GTI's and 306 Rallye's outside, always makes me think, hmmm would love to just jump in and go for a drive.

205 GTI was the last great Peugeot hot hatch.......Loved it and the best in its class back then...

I take it yours was the 1.9??? 306 Rallye looks fun, probably the last decent car Peugeot made. Renault rule now when it comes to french hot hatches.

No it was the 1.6 and very good it was...Agree on Renault..great hot hatch..Clio and Megane

205 GTI was the last great Peugeot hot hatch.......Loved it and the best in its class back then...

Thats why they are still competive on the rally scene both on tarmac and on the loose and still have their own championship.
