I think it was at Ace Cafe tail end of last year, when I was chatting to CM Productions, sorry, cant remember his real name and I commented on how shinny his car was.....he took me to one side and told me the trade secret that a chauffeur had told him, yes, Mr Sheen.

Well, the car was cleaned yesterday, so just had some water staining on it, so opening the kitchen cupboard I spotted a can of Mr Sheen and thought, sod it, give it a go.....excellent, really impressed. Just make sure you dont let it dry too much as it can smear a little, but work swiftly and the results speak from themselves....

The best bit is, that you can do all the glass, plastic etc without worrying about residue.

Yes Enz, well, I did not do the welding, painting or upholstery, but I organised and assembled it.

Nana, the black cat is either Sadie or Tarquin, cant tell which one of the sh!t machines it is from that pic.

I had a Marcos fitted with a Volvo 3 litre engine and built in kit form to avoid the then purchase tax. It was an icon in the sixties and seventies......the must have car for the Kings Road......a poor man's Miura

Dont you find Matt that continued use of MR Sheen creates a milky build up after a while which is a bugger to get rid of ,cant say ive ever used Mr sheen on Paint work , might try a test section , all i know is that anything silicone based is an absolute nightmare as far as painters are concered, causes all sorts of problems . Must admit tho she looks well sparkly

Dunno Loz, that is the first time I used it. I wont use it often, just when it needs a quick detail.

Just remember guy, the quickest way to wreck your paintwork is to rub grit trapped in a cloth over it, so make sure it clean before using any quick detail product.

Not sure mr sheen is for me. I use colour magic on my black car - so no issues with excess polish, everything is black.

With the continued expansion of the Pound shops, E cloths or Microfibre cloths are now so cheap i always use a new one to clean the massers , and keep the used ones for the glass and the mercs

...well Loz, I am saving up for those MC Sneakers, so every penny counts!

On a serious note, I hosed off the car this morning, and then water blade then chamois, the water beaded up a treat and came up superb again.

All Ill say, is for £2 or what ever a can is, give it a go, you will be surprised.

I would be nervous enough about using a non car intended product. How many of us used to use fairy liquid for the washing yet word is it is bad for the car (I used to use it for my hard contact lenses as well!).

Personally I am inclined to use good branded car products, following best buy guidance in magazines/recommendations in this forum.

As ever horses for courses, just my tuppence worth.

Cheers

Fair enough, its only spray polish....basic make up is much the same as anything you can get from the auto shop. Its all silicone wax based.

If its good enough for my Plasma, its good enough for my Masa.....sort of rhymes! :f2:
