MOT fail on 3200 front balljoints - advice please..

I personally would not fit second hand ball joints, because you don't know how much wear is left in them and because of the disruption of changing them again.

Bear in mind you will need the geometry set up again once these have been changed and potentially a process with shims to get the front camber set, which is why I fitted new Maserati parts when mine went.

Yes, its a good point - but the ones I'm getting are nice and low mileage, and I don't do a big mileage myself, so probably worth a shot. I'll get a basic alignment done locally, which will let me know if I need to buy some shims, and then set her up properly at the guy that does it right, through in Edinburgh

Mr Askew has kindly helped me out with some refurbed shockers at considerably less than the crazy new price, so that should be that...probably. Fingers crossed.
