Morning,

Was planning to go with my 15 year old to the Spa F1 Gp and then Drive the Nurburgring.
I think it is open to the public so might brave a lap in my own car, aiming for a steady 20minute lap....

Rather than just drive straight home is there a bigger loop i could do to try and keep him entertained for a couple of days ?

Thanks

Europe is your oyster. That part of Belgium and Germany is lush with forests and hills. It really depends on what you want to do. Stuttgart isn't too far south for the Porsche and Mercedes museums. Petrol will be far cheaper in Luxembourg but stay away from Luxembourg City (h3llhole!)

Sadly petrol in Luxembourg last June was no cheaper when we made the detour and certainly not worth the effort. I've been told the best time to drive the Nurburgring is after it's been raining all day and then the sun comes out around 5pm - most have given up and gone home by then. But from limited experience I agree with @midlifecrisis its a nice area and some lovely roads to drive
