Well nearly Nayf except neither of these Alpinas have a V8 - the B3S has a 3.3 n/a straight-six and the B3 GT3 a 3.0 Bi Turbo 6 (N54) - still both better than a E46 M3 or M3 GTS respectively though :)

You will be needing halbe's B10 when he gets it but good to hear you are already busy on the Alpina front. You can always still come down and have a play though and talking of B3s I assume JJ still wants to the Audi 90 quattro thing post lockdown?

If that original comment was aimed at me with the E39 M5 and forthcoming B10 V8S then they'd both love to be featured at some point. And I'd love to read anything which talks about BMWs of that era. I genuinely still love reading new magazine articles which talk about the E39 M5 even though they all say exactly the same nice things as they've been saying for years.

My current daily is an XD3. Very impressive piece of kit.

Lovely car!! Unfortunately for me they hold their value really well! Generally I hate decals and sports stripes on car but the Alpina decals on a XD3 look great

I don't have the side stripes, too in your face for me but it does have the Alpina on the front spoiler. They are not too bad price wise - now in the mid £20k range for a 2014.
Overall, it is a brilliant do anything car. Small enough to nip about but big enough to be comfy and a huge boot. Lots of technology, averages around 40mpg and has launch control for a 0-60 in well under 5 seconds. - think they are around 350bhp which is amazing for a 3 lire diesel!
Wonderful for long distances yet still having fun. An ideal companion for my GranTurismo!

We did a big M5 feature last year with Jethro Bovingdon, alas it’s sold out now...

Test drove a new one 2 years ago and hated it more than the Ghibli Gransport I sold after 10 days of ownership,,,, so that’s saying something!!!
