Not keen on the Mexico, the Ghibli is much nicer IMO. Dodgy area classic cars at the moment, my dad was in the trade for many years & has warned me off investing.

for what reason may I ask, i thought that prices are quite low at the moment. Cant loose any more money than a modern maserati.

Prices are quite low (relatively) but they may drop further or stay low for a prolonged period due to property prices falling, the recession and so on. Provided you pick the right classic car and get it at the right price, you will always make money from it, the problem is knowing which one to get, how long you intend to keep it etc. Ideally you have a buyer and a source lined up and you take your share from passing it from one to the other without doing very much at all. It really depends how quickly you want a return on your investment. If depreciation is your only concern then buying a classic always makes sense.

Not too bothered about making money just no depreciation and enjoy the car, pay it off and move onto the next one, it is a nice way to save some equity.

Must admit that the Ghibli is fast becoming a car I would like to own, I must be getting old.............

I have never run a car business or bought/sold cars purely to make money,
in the 30 years that I have been old enough to drive, I have owned 30 to 40 cars...
and there are only 2 that I have 'made' money on...and both are classic cars rather than modern!

Yes other than cars with very long waiting lists (like the Ferrari Enzo, and Mclaren F1 when they came out) the only way is down in price for a new car.

I really want a ghibli but it won't fit in my garage so I have to move house first, could be an expensive car!
