Well had a fantastic time at meridian, drove a grancabrio, QP gts, and m favourite the GT stradale with the roll cage in.... Oh my god it sounded good.

My wife's favourite was the grancabrio - so smooth.
My favourite the stradale great noise, amazing speed
My sons fav the QP gts again great noise, smooth and comfortable

Pictures to follow...

But ..... I fell in love with a black Ferrari f430 spider, man what a car...

To be honest I would prefer a Grancabrio to an F430. I don't know why but I was curiously unmoved by it. Very, very competent but ........ to me, it has something missing. Horses for courses and I am sure you will love it if/when you get one.

Personally I am not keen on four seater convertibles as they wobble too much for me.

Years ago I drove a 355 and 550 back to back and loved the 550 and hated the 355. Not driven a Ferrari since but sat in an F430 a couple of weeks back when I was in taking a peek at my GTS Auto. As a weekend car it would really appeal and the prices are getting a lot more reasonable.

My Maser was/is a daily driver so a Ferrari would not do. Depends on circumstances.

TBH I didn't notice too much shake and it was very nice to drive but, and it is a big but, the boot is cr4p. For a 4 seat GT cab it is useless. The boot in my spyder is a lot bigger. You would have to put your bags on the back seat but if you had 2 kids in the back you would be stuffed.

That's the beef, to get a Front Mid engine layout and proper four seats, the boot has been sacrificied.

As a comparison in the A5/6 series coupes/convertibles you get a big boot but limited back seats.

I used to have an A4 cab and that had a decent boot (with roof up) and roomy back seats.
The boot space in the GT is slightly smaller than my GS but has a much larger footprint.
Suppose Maserati reckon that the owners of the Grand Cabrio will get their luggage sent on or never use the back seats when going away.
