The ride isn’t bad, or crashy, it’s firm but isn’t everything nowadays? For what it is, it’s very good, and will sell when the price gets sensible. They’ll be £150-160k by Christmas and then bounce up a little in price in my opinion. I also think modern cars aren’t for me, like @hashluck says and @Nayf, ‘peak car’ was about 1993-2015. Anything over the last few years has been compromised by pointless regulations and NCAP, CO2, etc etc.
We are soon to take delivery of our brand new, but should have been released in 2015, car! (For the second time actually, had one in March but that only lasted 1 day, but that’s another story..)

In fact it would have been old school in 2015, great! What’s not great is it will require moving on of the QP, or the GTA :0036:

It’s quite easy to work out as virtually all new cars are full of nonsense ‘aids’ as you say, apart from this one.
But here’s a pic of the one that was faulty on pick up sneaking up on the Italians.

I’d still have an MC20 if the premium bonds come in though!

And then there's the speed limiter on Japanese Grey imports, particularly the 400s. It consisted of a photocell that detected when the speedo needle got to a certain point and then it cut the ignition. Easily frigged!
Do you remember Martin in the early 90s a dealer in South London dealt in these 400 grey imports? Bat Motorcycles I seem to remember.
I didn't realise they were limited to a speed in standard form.

I do love the look of the MC20, yes exhaust note not in same league as the V8 4.7 engine but could forgive that in todays climate. being picky now, but is it just me or does anyone else feel just a little sad maserati have now ditched the iconic recognizable dashboard analog clock?

Yes I do, they had full or two page adverts in bike magazines listing their stock. I was tempted by a little 400. Names like NC30 or NC29 made you sound really nerdy to differentiate between a CBR400 and a VFR400...good times.

Edit: Found this...

For the first time for me, I’ve just noticed an MC20 at a main-dealer with an asking price below £180k. With the impending mortgage crunch forcing us into recession, it can’t be long before they’ll be even more affordable and tempting. They are still in short supply though.
But I see there is a glut of Roma’s around the £160-£180k mark, many with less than 1k miles on the clock. Could a good Roma be down at £140k by Christmas?

They may get to £149,950 but don’t see any less for a while yet. Would love to get one and swap the badges and make it a Maserati Alfieri.

Around a similar price to a nicely spec'd Portofino M.

How long does it generally take for advertised prices to reflect the reality of what buyers actually spend, would you say?

There’s a Roma with 1k miles (if you want white) on autotrader for 159k, so I guess they must already be 149, or less, in the trade?

Probably a dealer who is backwards on it, trying to get out with as little pain as possible. I’ve not seen any sub £160k offered in the trade.
