WOW. JUST WOW! Love it. Kick a$$ Maserati! Time to show the world we are back on the map!
Which is great news but makes me wonder if the BOP is set correctly. The Maserati MC20 got a great start in the 2024 GT2 European Series season by winning Race 1 outright at Paul Ricard: https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/n...icard?filter_marketplace=0&filter_team_news=0
In Race 2, unfortunately the LP Racing team #1 car driven by Gorini and Tamburini spun on the penultimate lap, but the team still got a good result in the race, with the #2 car driven by Prette winning the AM class and getting a P3 overall: https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/n...inish?filter_marketplace=0&filter_team_news=0
I believe the "BOP" in the series is done through additional time at the mandatory pit stop, which significantly affected the #1 Maserati in Race 2 since it had won Race 1.Which is great news but makes me wonder if the BOP is set correctly.
Great video. Thanks for highlighting that.
That's rather lovely, actually.MC20 GT2 Stradale unveiled at Monterey: https://www.italpassion.fr/en/maser...-and-video-of-the-most-radical-maserati-ever/
The final races in the 2024 European GT2 Series took place weekend in Barcelona, with some excellent results for Maserati. Pampanini and Calamia took a strong overall win in race 1 on Saturday, whereas Prette drove the MC20 GT2 to P1 in the AM class in race 2 on Sunday, which also gave him the series title! As a result, the Maserati squad of LP Racing became victorious in the team championship in the AM class! https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/n...elona-as-vannelet-beaubelique-secure-am-title
Yes, the GT2 series runs its own races.I watched both races, well still have 29 mins to go on Sundays race. Saturday sprint spend 55 mins under the safety car due to the weather and spinners so only 5 mins racing. That race was determined by when you pitted for wets. I didn’t even realise Maserati was in it. Mercedes, Porsche, Aston, Audi all very distinctive and still looked like the brand but clearly Maserati hide the MC20 shape well with all the race gubbins on track and it blended in with the Ferraris. I must go and watch again just pick the Maserati out. Maybe it was was because it didn’t get my TV time as not with the leading cars.
Ignore the above as I think the race I was watching was not the GT2. They televised the Fanatic GT World Challenge Sprint races so take it the GT2 was part of the weekend racing.
Where can we watch these GT2 races?
