Yes this is what I remember too. Can’t remember the number.

I think it's 999, but I may have made that up.

I always used a USB stick and just read from that, but the system would still only read upto a max number of files. On the USB it just ignored the overage.

That seems daft. A 20 or 30GB Disk with 10 or 20GB free but only up to 999 tracks!

Oh well, I gave up and bought the SM car play kit from a member and am currently fitting it so I guess it's immaterial now.

Just been updating mine too in my 2009 GTS. Seems that it only likes MP3s and I only seem to be able to upload 250 tracks at any one time. I had my tracks (over 2700 tracks) sorted into subfolders onto a USB stick but as soon as it reached 250 tracks (into the second playlist/sub folder) it stopped. Since then, I'm currently uploading one folder at a time, making sure I don't exceed the 250 figures. All seems fine but it's taking ....... ages. Still, for some reason I seem to have time on my hands....I thinbk this is why many folk give up on trying to get music onto the jukebox. Still, I'm persevering, only about another 800 tracks to go.

I seem to remember it may be the size of the USB stick memory that is the issue possibly. Have 2gb in my head but not sure.
