Dodgy sale, what a surprise! Just called me asking what I'd give for it! eBay really does annoy me at times. It'll reappear somewhere within a week.

Dicky, its worth keeping an eye on the auction sited - I know you're not afraid of an auction - as QP's seem to come up pretty regulalry. There are two QP's waiting at BCA at the mo (but I don't think either are for you!). I saw Sport GT go at Blackbushe last year and while I cant remember the details, it was a sensibly priced car and appeared on a traders site days later for something like £7k more.

Cheers Woody. I do regularly look but can't get time off work to go very often. I did go to Nottingham in February to bid on a Sport Gt. It went for £37000 and needed about £5k spending on it. I find eBay is often better than the auctions but I'll keep looking as I do. Fancy a QP or a GS as I've been doing the maths and all costs included, it's about £1000 p/a more for me to drive a Maserati daily than at present having 2 cars. I don't enjoy spending £140 a week on fuel but rather spend it than lose it in tax, insurance and servicing on my other motor.

7k..........ok....so you stick a warranty on it....prep it....take 2K off for bits and pieces...negotiation.........

Not a bad amount to save.........or part save if bought privately....what is this car with yrs/miles selling for on AT......or other dealers sites?

£22800. I've been told by someone who knows the car well that I should not pay more than £22k for it. I thought it was worth more but I trust the guy who knows it.

If you look at his feedback it looks like he pulled out of a previous sale, maybe his shill bidder fell asleep and missed the close of the auction on that one.

He said he'd got 3 calls since it finished offering more than it went for! But still asked me for my best price, what a knob!

DG, I couldnt agree more - eBay is full of dreamers, timewasters and shysters. Can't stand the place and am dissapointed there isnt a better alternative.

There is an 05 QP going through BCA Bedford on Thursday.
That looks like it'll need a right load of love to get it looking good.
