Jealous? Hop on an Easyjet to Geneva, walk through the railway station to the Palexpo entrance, and hand over 16 euros. Makes a very nice day trip that's not too expensive.

Dave, what did you think of the California T?

Shak, thats a car than never really made me sit and notice it but the new California T has changed that for me.....Love it from the pictures.......PLus they has lost the silly exhaust stcked on top of each other at the back.......THis car would now be on my shopping list if funds allowed.

Completely agree Andy. From the pics I've seen so far, the lines flow better (reminds me a little of the Vanquish Volante) - plus this is such a more grown up car than the predecessor.

Liked it a lot. Fantastic.

I was there recording a series of video blogs of 10 top new cars at the show.

The Ferrari was one and i will post a link up once its edited in the next few days.

This press conference video with Harald Wester addressing, hints that the Alfieri, if produced, would sit below the GT as more pure-bred 2+2 sports car, not a grand tourer...

Drew, that Alfa 4C open top is very very prettty......

No kidding. I much prefer the wheels on it too.

The show car looks like it's engineered for roof panels, but there are no fixings whatsoever to install them. With lift-out panels it would be a fabulous car.

Drew.

Sorry I was going to arrange to meet up in Geneva but forgot all about until we were there.

Hope you enjoyed it. Catch up next year maybe!

No worries - very happy to meet fellow SMers in Geneva... It's a great show to visit, so meeting up next year works for me :) I've been 5 or 6 times to the Salon, and never been disappointed.

May be the Alfieri will be going into production - the Top Gear web site spotted a slip up in Harald Wester's press release address...

But is it any more than a potential vision? We'd say so. When Maserati CEO, Harald Wester, announced the car, he initially stated, "We're evaluating it for production." Then later slipped, "It completes - could complete - the lineup of Maserati." Oops.

Does it matter? Another coupe will come in the next 2-4 years. We might get two - GranSport and GranTurismo - or they might try and make one car do - or rather fail - at both jobs.

Of course it matters! It matters to anyone who has fallen in love with the tantalising shape of the Alfieri and it certainly matters to all of us who love to speculate to fill in the time ;)

I'm referring to journos trying to over read the comments made that's all. There is no 'oops' in it in any way. It just annoys me how the media twists and turns comments to make nothing really. Of course cars are coming and the concept shown was to gauge opinion.
