Maserati Break-in Warning

Just got back to the car this afternoon to find a warning on the console when I put the key in stating there was a break-in warning.

Does anyone know how this is activated, trying to open the door when the alarm isn't disarmed possibly?

I doubt that there was an attempt due to where it was parked but made me think.

MF...is this the red led light on when you put key in ignition?

It means it was activated when you had been away

No, it was a sign on the console saying break-in warning and showing a hazard sign I think. The writing was in yellow.

Nothing to worry about, it happens now and again, you possibly pressed the button on your key fob twice at either the locking or unlocking stage. Seen it plenty of times over the years on all different QP's and Granturismos.

Hi there, sounds like the volumetric sensor or shock sensor...A car passing by with droning exhaust can sometimes set it off,or an open air vent allowing air air movement to trigger the internal sensor on the interior light console.
Mine has gone off a couple of times in the past, due to the above.
Hope this helps

Agreed, has happened several times with me.

Nothing to worry about.....only time to worry is when you return to your car and it's gone.

Thanks all, didn't think it would have been tampered with where I parked it but you never know.

A Ferrari with a rather loud exhaust passed by it out of eye sight so that may have been the culprit.
