Hi Kev, my last purchase was from TANKBARRATT Italian car specialist, they don't quote a price on line but they were the cheapest last time and
I found them good to deal with, just had it posted to me.
Some owners and garages use Shell Helix, my car was using it when I purchased it admittedly for only 1k miles, on paper its probably a better oil
available and less expensive. There is a lot about oil on this site.

I got my last lot from independent Alfa specialists. I have also had Millers in mine. I would think any high performance 10 60 synthetic oil will be fine, it's not as if we are doing 20k miles a year in them! lol

Yeah I've been told that syntium is the replacement for seleina racing, this is very true be lucky to do 1k a year!!
Although I was told by an well know Italian specialist in essex the oil is very important in this car, development was for this car apparently....

Hi done a bit of digging, think this pretty much clears it up, this is Petronas euro reply:
Thanks for your enquiry.

There are two options for 10W-60 oils.

70161 SELENIA RACING 10W-60
70000 PETRONAS SYNTIUM RACER 10W-60

You can find them on eBay, Opie oils etc.

Both oils are fine for your car. The oils viscosity at 100°C are almost identical (23 cSt) The Syntium Racer 10W-60 has a superior viscosity index, which means it offers better performance at higher temperatures.

Kind regards,

"PETRONAS Syntium Racer 10W-60 is a fully synthetic lubricant developed with °CoolTech™ technology that effectively controls the heat, resisting oxidation and preventing oil degradation and deposit build up, to protect parts and maintain engine efficiency for the full drain interval. PETRONAS Syntium Racer 10W-60 especially designed for all types of high-powered racing engines, passenger cars including gasoline and diesel engines and latest high-performance cars fitted with fuel injections, multi-valves, turbochargers or superchargers operating under most severe conditions"
