Yep, dreamers and a complete waste of time. British based Polish Businessman, who turned out not to have the money. He needed to sell his 2011 Merc first! Took him a week to tell me. So far, had someone who wants to P/X a Porsche Boxster S, and someone with a lovely Harley Davidson. I have instructions from the wife, no bikes!!

I was the one who offered the Boxster as a p/x. What's wrong with that??!! Plenty of people will take a p/x especially one with a Porsche badge on!! After-all I wasn't offering a Fiesta or Mondeo!!! Only trying to get into Maserati ownership.
I hope you sell it, especially as you are in Spain and it has no tax or test for UK.
Regards
Neil.

Boxsters are a fair little runabout for a few people, nothing special though..!!

Don't agree Rob, the Boxsters I've driven have felt special...Regarded as the best all round roaster you can buy....feels special to drive...Yes loads about, interior of the old ones not great but the way they drive makes then feel like a special car. Made me smile every time you put one into a bend. A great car for everyday use and that's the difference. You can not compare to a Maserati though as two very different cars. Ones a toy and ones an everyday car but just because you can use it everyday doesn't mean it's not special.

A boxter could be an everyday car, and it could be pretty enjoyable.

But a Maserati (4200 or GT) is compared to the 911. I would trade the 4200 to a 911 turbo, but never to a boxter.

Agree Nikos....if I wanted an open top sports car to use every day that would break the bank...Boxster....If I wanted a weekend toy then 4200......The 911 Turbo is in a different league performance wise against both of the others.

Daughter was thinking about doing that..!! It is rapid, she has spent a small fortune on performance and would hate to see it go, but she just does not get to use it hardly. If she does decide to sell, do you want me to ring you..??

I've had a Boxster S and a 996 Turbo and I wouldn't call either of them "Special" but I would definitely say that dynamically the Boxster S is a wonderful car. I took mine on a tour of Europe and it was superb on the fun bits, and really comfortable on the long motorway hauls at speed. Not overly powerful, but the speed it can carry safely through corners and its ability to soak up poor quality british road surfaces make it a really quick point to point machine.

But for me, Porsche interiors are bland and devoid of character, and even 911's feel a bit soulless. I think most older M cars have more character. (not convinced by the newer 'flat panel' interiors in E90/E60 variants)

If I ever had another Porsche I'd choose a Boxster over a Turbo. I'm not a fan of turbo cars generally, I just prefer the driving characteristics of a big NA lump.

For me - sitting in a Maserati IS "Special" - but I've yet to drive one and am hoping for much fireworks when I do!
