Just had first MOT on my Quattroporte S (14,000 miles). Pleasant surprise: the emissions test shows CO2 emissions zero, Hydrocarbon emissions zero. True it's fairly low mileage, but the tester seems to think it's unusually good. Anyone have any experiences? Possibly related to this, the engine oil is still looking remarkably clear. There are benefits to good engineering…

Here are the stats on my QP...Not an S, just a 4.2 duoselect...26-Feb-2011, 52,950 miles
CO2 % vol - min limit \ none max limit \ 0.200 My actual value 0.025
HC ppm vol - min limit \ none max limit \ 200 My actual value 1
Lambda - min limit \ 0.970 max limit 1.03 My actual value 1.027
Considering she has a full sports sxhaust system, Needless to say, I was pretty pleased :D

Thanks Enz; that sounds pretty impressive too. Good to know we can look forward to clean motoring in our ZEVs...Just checked the form, my lambda was 1.000

Meanwhile China and India continues to spew out more contaminants than ever before in to our atmosphere , and seeing as were skint (as a nation) and need their money to support the western economy were powerless to do anything about it , is it really worth all the incurred extra costs to be so eco friendly when they are undoing what ever good we are doing at a much faster rate Hmmmmm rant
