Have you seen the reviews of the new Vanquish. They rather like it.

Some quotes

The third-generation Aston Martin Vanquish is not only the best yet, it’s the best Aston Martin full stop

Vanquish versus 12 Cilindri, which will prevail? If push comes to shove, my money’s on the Vanquish. Yes, it’s that good. The best Aston of the last 25 years, no less.

It makes sense that this is the car its maker has been threatening to build for years. How agreeable to report that it's off our scale, too.

It is rather lovely. But the price is still a bit on the steep side and I refuse to sell any of my fine art collection. I love those old Athena posters way too much.

It’s definitely getting some great reviews, but to be honest I am not so in love with the styling.

It’s funny as my purchase of a Vanquish has coincided with the launch and a few people have jumped to the conclusion that I have bought one of those, they will be disappointed when I turn up in my decade old Gen2. o_O

I am sure it will still turn heads. They still look fabulous.

They won't. Yours is wonderful. Plus it'll sound a bloody sight better than the turboed engine in the new one.

Oh, and yours is all-carbon.

Col

l pick up mine in the morning with a fantastic route mapped out.

Google says it’s a little over 3hrs from Edinburgh to Barbara Castle (my overnight) my route is closer to 6 hours and full of twisty bits
Look forward to hearing your thoughts after the epic drive.
