I watched a couple of them last night.
My initial thoughts are I don't think it looks as good as the last vanquish, or the DBS superleggera, but I think it's gonna be a grower on me, and I'll probably end up loving it.

I like the rear most, and currently not sure about the headlights.

Inside, especially the dash, is missing some curves for me. All a bit straight and flat.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still have one in a heartbeat if one of you lovely folks fancy giving one away. ;)

Only a small thing but they have a dial or button for ever function as they believe people have had enough of touch screens even though they have one in the car. Bravo as touch screens for me are just horrid in cars and distracting.

Sounds like a great engine also. I think it works but think I would go body colour for that rear panel. Aston now seems to have a very complete range of cars from Sports car to this range topper.

It will also be pretty exclusive at 333k and only 1000 cars being built a year.

Green for me.

Yeah, buttons are a definite win. And that looks very good in that colour!

Looks interesting and the move away from touch panels has got to be a win why anyone has ever thought they belong in a car is beyond me.To me touch and feel especially in a car is essential, I want to know that I am making whatever adjustment by feel not by having to look at some senseless screen

Overall I quite like it, although I wouldn't have it in green, a deep metallic red would look good but at over £300k you would have to be a real Aston fan to buy one.

I would imagine that there will be more than a 1000 die hards a year in the world to make sure every one is sold. 333k starting price I bet most will leave the factory closer to 400k

Honestly, their marketing wonks really need to dial down the hyperbole.

Vanquish
Today marks the return of a legend and the beginning of a new era of V12 supremacy. The Aston Martin Vanquish honours its past with an elegant display of domination.

A new, class-leading 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 sets a new benchmark for performance with 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, relentlessly surging Vanquish to 214mph and from 0-62mph in 3.3s. Its commanding design blends classic influences with innovative cues, gracing roads with unparalleled sophistication and unprecedented technology, as it conquers all in its path.

This is the impregnable peak of British mastery.

To quote someone else who was writing in a different context, it's an unmitigated shithouse of fatuous ar5e.

The car, on the other hand, is quite lovely. If I had but wanted rid of £300k (plus fripperies) I could think of worse ways to use it up.
