Looking at selling my Granturismo 4.2 Auto which I only bought recently due to travelling abroad for a length of time and can't justify two cars sitting in storage. Its 2008 Nero/Cuoio 28500 miles more less with the Larini exhaust , it has a private plate M8 GXT ,FSH etc .Ive seen similar age with higher mileage 40-60,000 miles private sales in around £38,000 so assuming this is my car worth roughly the same if not more?

Shame neither you or Lozzingers weren't able to hang on to it a bit longer.... Still one of the best 4.2's I've seen...

I would say £38,000 as I've seen ones around your mileage/year for this but include a dealer warranty too.

That's the killer with a private sale with a car of this calibre

It's got to be considerably cheaper than a dealer car because of the amount of rights you have as a consumer, not just the warranty but the 3 months rule where it's assumed that any major faults in the first 3 months were deemed to be present at the time of purchase within reason.

Personally I'd only buy a car like this with a warranty, have you considered adding one, say from warranty wise

There's one in my local MD (Marshall Maserati Peterborough) minus the Larini for £40k but I think that's a little high so for a private sale I would say up to £38k.
Good luck with the sale, too bad you didn't have it for long - I'd recommend selling your other car!

Thanks for the input, I could add a warranty if they needed thats a good point and not to much £££ to sell on quicker for some backup for the buyer. So the price I'm looking is in the £38,000 region which is what i thought it be worth , trade is showing £29,000 i assume the market value as with the Aston Martin are miles apart from the trade guide books I've been reading.

I know shame really but i have a opportunity so I'm off to Brasil and can't keep the cars in storage as not sure how long I'm going to be out there.

Trade prices always seem a shocker give the mark up - I guess sometime they get a good car and make the £9k (-warranty) and other where they have to spend a kings ransom bringing it up to speed.

Yes thats true but more so on this car, a friend of mine who's in the trade thinks £37,500 is about where its at which id take as private. Whats the larini exhaust worth 3-4 months old does anyone know?

If you still have the standard exhaust, you would probably be better off putting it back on and selling the Larini separately. Is it the rear boxes you have or the centre sections, sport cats?

You would probably be able to sell them easily on here but I don't know at what price as they so rarely come up for sale second hand but look out for PMs from forum members.
If you had a MC-shift, I would be messaging you about them!

I think its the boxes open valve ones, was the previous owner who put it on this year.I would of thought £1200 to be fair price as they are so new.
