Don't you think it's a shame that the Levante is being given a V6 ? Half the joy of Maserati ownership for me is the wonderful V8 soundtrack....

Modern Maserati is all about V8's but I also have a soft spot for the Biturbo...It sort of is Maserati....Or it was when I was a lad.

Maybe i'm a just a bit of a 'Johnny come lately' to the Maserati party. I Will have to do some more research....

biturbo is a Maserati trait Ian......But with it came a little bit of unreliability........The V8's are more robust......Saying that my 3200 was reliable..the engine was pretty much unburstable.....It;s the bloody sensors and electrics that tend to go wrong.

Maserati's were V8's before V6/8 Biturbos what with the Ghibli (Mark 1), Bora ,Khamsin,Indy, Merak, and others, before that in-line sixes. I think it was the 5000 GT that was the first Maserati V8 road car...I'm happy to be proved incorrect.
