Going though the invoices on my QP i see it had a Laser Detector fitted last year, although no clue of make/model and I have no instructions etc. Mindful that i am off to France next month I want to disconnect.

Can anyone tell me the make and model from the photos below

The detectors in the grill are just above each end of the number plate, and the swith inside the car has a red/green LED and associated alarm, with a small switch.

Marc, even possession of one in your car is an offence in France, best to remove item completely....or just leave wiring in situ.......car confiscation job if caught.

Thanks P I know - I was looking to find out make and model first and hopefully download an instruction manual of sorts to dismantle etc

I'll buy it from you if you're taking it out. They(last time I checked) are legal here but not to use for laser jamming. It's fine to say it's for your garage door though. This is, if I'm not mistaken, a jammer, not merely a detector. If I were you, I'd keep it but I'm not aware of European law on the matter.

The best way is to keep to speed limit I suppose.....Most of the radar giun things are used in 40's and 30's which I must say I wouldn't break that limit as most times its in populate areas.....

I only want to disable it for France as they hand out 1500Euro fines for simply having one.

They don't care....possession is enough to be guilty....no ifs or buts....best to take it off....they will not debate with you or be discretionary at all.

And the French police are called Gendarms.

N.B. their name includes the world "arms". Never noticed they are all armed until seated in the geandarmerie being processed for alleged speeding. There was a book sticking out of a cupboard titleld "Rocket Propelled Grenade - Intstructions for use " (le mans week only). Then I saw his pistol and huge shiny boots. I quickly paid and left, leaving a blustering, portly middlle aged Brit arguing about "proof".
