4200 Kerb weight is 1,690 kg Gross is 1,990 kg = 400 kg load total made up of 28 kg in the boot only! so no smuggling gold in your masser!

Hmmm....1,990 - 1,690 is how much

I agree those figs from carpages look pants...
especially when taking into consideration the boot capacity of both vehicles,
numbers just don't make sense.

It is nonsense; I'm around 130 kg on my own, Ive had 4 adults around my size in it so I must have been overloaded by a significant factor according to the book! Joys of playing Rugby!

Maserati Technical Data for the current QP at http://www.maserati.com/maserati/en/en/index/models/Quattroporte/technical-data.html gives four weights:
Curb [sic] weight: 1,990 kg
Curb weight + driver: 2,065 kg
Full load weight: 2,365 kg
Maximum weight technically permitted: 2,400 kg
Average person is around 70-80Kg depending where you are *. Rugby players clearly a bit more...So 410Kg load = 4-5 people plus luggage, seems about right.

Yes, either wrong or incomplete, so difficult to compare like with like. For the GT, Maserati data available at http://www.maserati.com/maserati/en/en/index/models/GranTurismo/technical-data.html and oddly (since the Maserati QP data gives all four weights I noted above) gives only one weight: kerb weight 1880 (same as the car pages kerb weight quoted).
