Just watched the you tube and listened to Jay Kay,
Great Car and some good words from Jay, especially the bit about holding such an event in Italy and the way that the Police and the people react, no speeding fines, No slow down its dangerous,
it doesn't seem that long ago when we did have motorsport on public roads.I used to go, along with thousands of others, to sutton park to watch that stage of the RAC rally. lots just stood along the route . my old man sat in the window of our front bedroom
and watch them pass our house.
when and why did it all stop.
Do they still have them in Ireland frank? I seem to recall that there was a round Ireland rally.
Top bloke. Must have spent a fortune on that car and yet he understands that, yes it's nice to get the plaudits and tinsel that come with a concourse car, but the car (and the driver) come alive when it's being driven. Kudos.
Yup, still happens....both for motorcycles and rallying, though a lot on forest stages now as well for cars........as ever Rob, the police state and lack of tolerance drives all these activities off the public roads...
