Italian motorway speed

Hi all,

had read a while back that the Italians were testing a 93mph limit on certain motorways and looking to extend it to other 4 laners - as this article shows it will never be

in saying that not a lot of people seem to stick to autostrade limits anyway

fair point. According to an Italian sociologist, Italians speed because its an act of liberty whilst they are late because being on time is an act of slavery!!

This is true, if the police see you driving a Ferrari, they want you to speed up so they can hear the noise.

Yes, from experience there isn't a speed limit even if there is.....Remember slowing down as I saw the Law only to have a hurd of Fiats beep their horns at me as they sailed past at around 100mph...Police didn't even raise an eyebrow...So when in Rome and all that...
