I got the dreaded renewal notice today and immediately felt the stress rise. My first year of insurance for my 4.2 GT cost me £287 fully comp with 2000 miles personal and a 1000 business. That was with esure. I suspected they had made a mistake as all other quotes on moneysupermarket were £400 plus. In fact when I pressed the quote again button back in January, my chosen insurer had gone up to £400… Anyway amazed to see that my renewal quote has come in at £253!
So esure seem to be good at least for me. I do live in Wiltshire, which may have a lot to do with it, but as a comparison, my trusty £2500 Volvo V50 2.0 D (which only has 177hp) was £195 with 9000 personal miles and 1,000 business. I always check insurance prices with comparison sites, but I think in this case I will just press the renew button.
