My 09 QP is insured for £1,600 fully comp. If I run a quote again to find the same company offering a cheaper premium, as a consumer can I cancel existing policy to reclaim most premium then buy the cheaper policy. I see no problem with this but an insurance company may differ but I dont intend on telling them this is my aim as i'll be buying direct online.

Can't see why not...but there may be a cancellation charge and they may round the months coverage up.

BTW thats some premium. ..live in a getto or had previous 'fun' with cars?

Only 4 years NCB, 27 year old, area not amazing but ok. Ive paid the premium outright and think I can expect most back but wasnt sure if maybe they had a clause or something.

Most have some clauses that means you'll inevitably end up with less back than you think...so speaks the voice of experience :-(

Chris, try Abbey. Sub £500 for me, although I have full NCB and rather more years on the clock than you!

I had an event, so I have to stump up £600 this year, NCD still protected though..!!

We have admiral multi car... My mapped giulietta, wifes mito and now the 4200 CC..... £925 for all 3.....
