Independent Maserati Dealer in South West London

Does anyone know of a good and reasonably priced Maserati garage in the SW London area please? Historically I've used Lancaster Maserati Colchester, but I have two reasons for exploring alternative options :-

1. I think their servicing costs are a tad overpriced, when compared to other specialists garages in the SW London area (granted they are not Maserati specialists though)

2. It would be great to have a local garage I could pop round to as opposed to travelling a 150 mile round trip every time I visit the garage.

There is a garage very local to me who claims he used to work on Bentleys and other "supercars". I've seen him working on another 4200 a few months ago and he said he'd happily perform servicing etc on mine. I think I know what the answer will be, but I feel I've built up a relationship with you all to be able to ask such bold questions.......what's the forum's view on trying a non Maserati specialist garage for servicing??

Joe Macari is effectively a official service center, so price might be high - but that's just guess.

Autofficina seemed to know their stuff (I'm no mechanic though) and we nice and friendly. The place was full of Ferrari's and the mechanic I spoke to seemed to know Massers very well.

Dependant on where you regularly travel to there are also Indie's in Hertfordshire and Kent.

I'd second Autofficina in Hook - I've used them extensively and they're friendly and helpful and seem to know their stuff. They're also not to bad on price at £85 an hour + vat I think it is.

Cheers,
Ben

Depends what you're used to I guess - I've been paying over £100 an hour + vat for BMW and Audi dealers for years so cheaper rates for an even nicer car seems ok to me. Of course if I lived somewhere else...!

I got charged around 150 quid an hour with VAT by a dealership not too far away from me about 4 years ago. I was pretty horrified, particularly as the rate was applied to expert and esoteric tasks including the changing of wiper blades!

I'm not going to mention any names, but I just wanted to point out that you can end up paying through the nose outside of London.

If 85 quid/hour is expensive, who is getting a cheaper rate and where?!

Do we need to update the "Independent Maserati Specialists" thread, there were some names there I did not recognise?

If thats so, with their rep id take my car there!!
Yep, it's where mines going. Just checked the estimate, £72ph inc vat is right (£60ph excl). Their hours for the job in question are higher than I've been quoted elsewhere, but having had a service there and seen how much attention they pay I feel it's worth it.
