Took delivery of my new Ghibli on Saturday. Seems almost too nice to dare use!!! Pictures to follow.
Anyway just a quick question on this post. Am I right in assuming the UK spec Maserati's are configured to measure imperial miles, the handbook, such that it is both online and what physically comes with the car, talk about US and metric.

Hi Keith,

Both the US and the UK share the statute mile (5280 feet) and certainly UK spec Maserati cars use this imperial measurement. European models are different because speed limits and distances are displayed in kilometres.

Yes but you can change it all in the settings menu of the little screen between the dials. If you want to pretend to be American for a day.

The GranTursimo offers US or UK mpg but early QP/Ghibli did not offer the UK option. Has this now changed?

Yes it changed with the 2014 car. UK settings are now included with the software such as mpg and celsius etc. You can software flash an older chassis car to the newer version at dealer service time too. Changing the settings is not that easy as it won't let you into the menus in a simple way but once mastered, it's fine.

Ok so on mine I have the choice of Metric or US imperial (on the mpg). It is a June 2014 car (first registered then anyway, and was a factory order so probably wasn't hanging around for too long). So I can get this updated at the dealership?

The benefit of the forum! It's a small thing but it did annoy me on early cars I drove. Indeed the 15 plate loaner diesel I had recently did not have the UK option so it must have sat around a while before registration.
