Fingers crossed we don't have a similar bad winter. I'm currently using the car to the station every day. A gorgeous 10 mile blast down dual carriageway with lots of roundabouts plus a bit of twisty. All done at 5.30am with few cars on the road. If we have another bad winter I'll have to get the Discovery back in the road as I probably won't be able to get the Maser off the steep drive!!

The irony is that we haven't had snow in Surrey for 4 years but you will find that the GTS is more or less totally undriveable without winter tyres on un gritted side streets after a snow fall. Tyres are to wide and rear wheel drive means even in winter mode you will just slither into the gutter. I slid off the road on a gentle bend at about 5 mph and cracked a wheel and spoiler on a curb - £6k insurance claim
