Very difficult to say , cars like this rely strongly on proven credence and heritage , lots of research by people in the know need to be carried out , to make sure there the genuine article , these cars are bought as investments not as play toys , altho you do get the occasional oddball super rich guy who does both ,

Prime example a very very rich 70's super star, who owns an original 300s had a perfect identical replica made , so he could race it/ show it , the original stays 90% of the time in its heated air conditioned cocoon

Came across this on PH and i may well pop down and see it at GWFOS , for anyone having a spare £250K money well spent , especially if you have that maserati classic ache tucked away deep inside

For me, this is very difficult to value Loz...I know it is beutiful and based on something historic and unique,
but i can't help feeling this is just a new car and does not have the history behind it, if you know what I mean...
my initial thoughts are that 250k for a replica is a huge amount of money...but it is worth what somebody will pay I guess...
Regards,
Enzo.

Have to agree with you Enzo , but genuine ones now £1 000 000 plus as we all know the black one went for £2.5 mil some months ago , so i guess its relative , tho my view is its overpriced by double , one can be built for around £60-70K and thats getting as close to original spec as its feasibly possible starting with a rolling chassis at £23K from Recklus Argentina , engine / gearbox wheels and brakes will set you another £20 K then its paint and all the trimming clocks and dials / finishing , its an awesome project to take on and one i would dearly love to have a crack at , hopefully one day

But as a company has done this.....3.5K hours at 40-50 an hour.......say 160K in labour, plus a mark up.....pretty near the commercial value really.................but it is only a high class replica...end of........if it meets a need and people are aware of its origin...so be it!

To be honest Frank the body is of the highest quality , but he has strayed a long way off from anything close to original or nearest , in some respects he's actually produced a much superior car to the original performance and handling wise and the purists wont like that ,

My self i would like to do similar but with a 4200 cc engine and box oh i can dream for the time being

Loz, this si the one I posted somewhere else on here and I must say it looks stunning but for me and even though they say it's not a replica car.....really it is....and even it I had the pennies 250k on a replica car would kill me...But as I say it looks lovely.
