Idle speed

Does anyone know the correct idle revs at tickover?
mine is around 950-1000rpm seems a little high.

I think 1k is ECU programmed but am prepared to be corrected.

Yes, I believe 1k is correct, mine hunts a little but only 100 either side.

Bit of a pain with a manual because as soon as the clutch is at release point it picks up speed with no throttle.

My 4.2 QPV Ds which I believe has largely the same engine idles at 750/800 I think.

Believe, and stand to be corrected, the ECU is programmed differently on the QP. Agree on the clutch @Nibby and never give throttle out of first gear from a stop...
