I'd like to buy a Strad. Anyone selling a decent one for a good price

I would not like to take a lake/med/coast boat like a Princess V40 across the Bay of Biscay. Or worse still past Gibraltar, round the Cabo da Roca, and into the Atlantic.

I was wrong was a v-39. Copy the title into the search bar on you tube. Think there is about 5 videos on journey back

Good to see. As it happens, I was Features Editor of Motor Boat & Yachting in the 1980s.

Still don't fancy a trip like that:

"Well, we made it back home late last night. Just a couple of hours ahead of this storm that was coming in off the Atlantic. The boat’s been stuck in Royan for a couple of weeks. We had to leave it there because it was low after low coming in across Biscay; storm force 8. There was no way we were going to be able to move it. And then we saw a tiny little window in the weather, so we headed down to Royan on Thursday. It's now first thing Monday morning. We got back to Falmouth Sunday night. It's blowing a hooley out there; we could see on the forecast it was going to blow up as we were coming across, but we had a great crossing: big swells as we came across the channel …"

I must say this has got my attention. I haven't seen another in this colour.

A part of me is thinking about putting a bid in... but the sensible side of me is very wary about buying a car like this from an auction without a ppi.

Out of interest, what do people think is a fair market value price for this car?

I too really like it, but I think I'd prefer a black one as boring as that is.

My estimate would be £60k including their very large fees.

In this market I feel the reserve will be about £56k and it will get bid up to about £48k so won't even sell.

It also appears there is a dikhed in the comments trying to talk down the car to get a cheaper price by saying there has been a bodywork repair on the car after he's viewed it but the seller is saying "what bodywork repair..?"

This is my favourite colour on the Centenary model. It is called Grigio Pietra. In the flesh it looks stunning as it is three stage pearl paint. I may be wrong but I am pretty sure there is the only one in that colour in the UK. This car has been for sale a few times at different dealers and think Dicky may know of the car or have seen this at some point as he may have been offered it or know something about it.

It puts me off that it's not even the seller answering the questions but a 3rd party.
Makes me think of this:

I’ve got a lovely one in stock at the moment and a Grigio Lava absolutely mint car in next week. I have never sold this but know a fair bit about it but can’t disclose on the forum.

New front brake pads @ 14,762 miles  Suggests track days or very hard life! CCM brakes pads should last 50k+ miles in normal driving conditions.

It always surprises me how unmotivated some sellers seem to be on CC... Being so unresponsive to questions and with an opaque service history... It's the opposite end of the spectrum of trying to generate a bidding frenzy!
As much as I'm intrigued by the colour, I am definitely ooooot.
