I'd like to buy a Strad. Anyone selling a decent one for a good price

I’m not on FB but having met the guy he seems pretty straight and his premises is a pristine with well presented cars. I think we all have to be careful condemning people on social media a little too hastily.
Anthony James are a very well regarded dealer. I haven't bought a car from them but spoken to them on several occasions. To suggest they are "trying to pull a fast one" couldn't be further from the mark!

I used to have a Stradale Centennial and now a later 69 plate MC Nerrisimo. The log book says MC Stradale in the same way on both so the response seems fair. The cars are not registered correctly with the DVLA. My current car should state MC Nerrisimo but there is no mention of this unless you know the car and look at all the options ticked from new

Out of interest, which do you prefer?

This one literally describes the car as an MC Stradale lol

So the auto-fill on Autotrader still can’t differentiate a Stradale from a normal GranTurismo. No surprise.

This should be a simple answer but it’s not. The MC Stradale Centennial had the F1 robotised manual gearbox which really suits the car and has a much more mechanical feel to it as it throws the gears in at high revs. The suspension is much more rigid and controlled making it more connected to the road. The real Stradale also has carbon ceramic brakes which work well at stopping the car compared to the standard steel brakes on all other GT’s. The best bit about the carbon ceramics is no brake dust so alloys remain clean. I really miss this part as the Granturismo produces a lot of brake dust on standard discs. The final plus was that my Stradale was a Rosso magma triple pearl colour which really suits the car and gets lots of attention. On the other hand, my current car is much easier to drive around town with the zf gearbox, has the same exhaust and body styling so sounds almost as good as the Stradale, has the latest infotainment system /Apple car play fitted and is a cheaper tax bracket as it’s 2019. The slightly softer suspension makes it drive well but removes that connection from the road. I don’t daily drive mine so the Stradale felt like a real event everytime I got into it. My current car is much better in many ways as it’s newer with a higher spec but I wish I kept the Centennial Stradale. The one Richard Grace has is the same as my old one (tempted).

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense and helped curb my temptation. Think I'll go for a Stradale when the time comes.

The Red one Dicky has is actually already sold, must've literally got snapped up within a few hours.

It was actually perfect spec for a Centennial. Not sure I've ever seen a non-Centennial in red.

Glad I could help, I did wonder if it was still available as they are normally sold before they make the proper advert. Was really good value too

I emailed them today as I pointed the fact out 6 weeks ago when they listed it as a Rosso Magma Centennial Stradale and I tried to buy it. To leave it advertised as a Strad when you’re fully aware it’s an MC is a trifle dishonest, even if the DVLA and the Autotrader code are incorrect and state it’s a Strad.

Yes that’s correct. It is Maserati and DVLA’s fault. Autotrader have been incredibly helpful in trying to sort it out.

Yes I listed it on Saturday around 9am and sold it by 8pm. Absolutely immaculate car, drives spot on.

A previous Dicky Grace car:

I'd recognise that gravel and tree anywhere
And me, amazed that it is up for sale again, for a good deal more than I sold it for, really nice car, drives spot on.

I think what this proves conclusively that only Rosso sells very quickly unless its a 2 seater with cage. The Blu 2 seater ( without cage)from Hampshire still is unsold.

Another White one is on AT today for 62k ish 20k miles only, its a 67 plate in Fuji by the look of it. Is it correct that the road tax for this is £180 pa ? Mine is like £700
