I've read the nicely detailed thread by Conaero on removing rear seat bottoms / buckets on a spyder GT but nothing on the removal of rear seat bottom for a 4200 GT Coupe - the Coupe has a one piece seat bottom with no apparent fasteners anywhere near the lower front edge of the seat. I've tried pulling straight up on the seat thinking there's a clip type holder there but no budge and I don't want to damage anything. Is there a trick to removing it?? thanks

ps I'm upgrading the stereo bits back there, applying dynamat to the area and fixing new fasteners to the rear interior panels which were damaged in past when PO attempted to fix a sagging headliner. The various panels are flapping in the wind a bit. All which is why I'm wanting to remove the seat.

Hi
I have a 3200 but think they are the same, to remove the bottom section push the seat cushion backwards and then lift at the same time. The rear section is removed by lifting it up and then pulling the top towards you.

Thanks Rex B, I finally got it out. In my 4200 the front has two spring loaded clip type tabs which secure into two rectangular slots in the body structure, each tab about 6" from either end of front seat edge. It took a lot of force to pull it straight up.
