Hi there, after you guys helped me book my stag do with your suggestions i thought ill ask you for advice on the honeymoon.....
We have not booked it yet as she has started a new job at a new firm so wanted to clear the dates 1st and then start looking, also its traditional at greek weddings where we pick up money as presents from guests so hopefully we will be able to fund a good honeymoon aswel as some money put away for a rainy day.....

We have looked at bahamas nassau but been told its tooo expensive and very americanised.....
We dont want to go somewhere quiet and romantic like maldives or mauritious as we do get bored easily so we looking at destinations with nightlife and class hotels.....

A favourite which we are close to booking is cancun....it has it all....anyone been??

Dem, I've been to Cancun, to the Bahama's and to a load of other places...but I've not come across anywhere quite as fantastic as where I am now...Thailands beaches. See my running report in my other thread!

It can be as quiet or loud as you want...the resort I'm in called Indigo Pearl is very highly rated by visitors on Trip Advisor and is truly the most fantastic place I've ever been to and would be perfect for a honeymoon (people keep asking us if were honeymoon so it must be a popular honeymoon destination)...its also far from the most expensive place I've been to so check it out on www.indigo-pearl.com. Location wise it's about a 20 min drive to the busier parts of Phuket (Patong etc...but that suits me) so if you want really busy then it's there but this place is in quite a secluded location.

Buy the way Dem...Cancun is also very nice - that's where I went this time last year.

I can thoroughly recommend the Moon Palace resort (widely available through most holiday companies in the UK as one of the premium resorts in Cancun) - it has it all really and like everywhere out there, it's all-inc if you like that sort of thing.

If you go you must do the great trip to a place called Xel-Ha (pronounced shell-har)..it's very widely marketed over there so you'll have no trouble booking it!

Happy booking whatever you decide....I love my holidays and choosing them is always fun!

We spent 10 days in Tobago, 5 star, direct flight with virgin, All inclusive, quiet, with a golf course out the back, heaven!

It depends wha you want to do, chill or sight see, with all the stress of the wedding we wanted paradise chilling.

Back in the late eighties when I got married, we first went to Kenya for a safari and then flew on to the Seychelles. The honeymoon was amazing.....

......the marriage less so........:D

Hi Matt,

Of course not........ I won't be doing as many events as last year but I did manage to get to the Bristol Auto Italia...... Excellent.
