No story to tell P but on first glance it seems to have worn well.

Would be looking to dot all I's etc... but good to see that there are still Massers alive and well above the 100th floor as it were.

I agree....seems well kept, little wear........which is a good sign, plus wasn't a garage queen either...:)

Does look it very good condition but high miles or not its have loving owners then there is no reason why it shouldn't be in great condition....Price seems high for the miles thought but it has only had 2 owners...2nd high miles Maserati fro sale currently, (QP)...Good to see that they are being used.

Looks in good nick, drivers seat a bit worn but you would expect that from 100K+ miles, nice to see it is used and not a garage queen.

I test drove a 3200 with 90,000+ miles on it before buying mine, and in spite of having a full service history, it was a complete dog, and even broke down in the middle of the test drive - knowing what I now do, I'm sure it just needed a new throttle body. There were tell tale signs it had been looked after fairly badly though...

It's all about history and condition....it can have 20k or 100k on the clock but if you haven't got those two walk away I say.

True....but if having done that sort of mileage......the owner would need to be pointing out the refurbed/replaced weak points of the 3200 and be able to convince you he'd done it to a high standard!

Yes and that would be all part of the history part...The car would need a huge history file before I would think about it......

I've seen several around the 100K point, I think the highest is around 115K. As long as they're maintained properly I don't see that they have a particular life expectancy and I fully expect to see the 3200GT engine to manage 150K or even 200K. Stuff wears out, but never anything fundamental.

The biggest problem I have is with low mileage cars where everything siezes up and it needs new shocks, actuators, and ABS bits - maybe £10K worth of parts - just to make them roadworthy.

Good to know Mike.....as ever and with all Italian cars...they are meant to be driven!!

Plus I suspect the temperate climate we have doesn't help one bit!

Was reading your comments on your web site Mike and it makes loads of sense .. They have been a few good 100k 3200's come up for sale recently ... There is one on Autotrader currently and 9500...The key is making sure if has been looked after.

I would agree with the above comments hence i did'nt mind buying mine with 90 k on it especially as the history has cost nearly as much as the original purchase cost over its 8 years.
I often use it as bed time reading wandering what my customers would think with some of the bills i have in my file.
But you do have to use them and keep them pampered.
Gentlemen just the same as the lady folk or for Adam me b____es.

Thank god the first buyer and those just after delved deep into their pockets for some of the early cars for them to have survived at all!

I have one or two of those too Phil.....not quite get you off to sleep type stories....just a tad scary!!!!

Correct Phil....but the only thing with the lady folk if they have been too used thay do take longer to service.
