Hi All,

This is a good looking forum with lots of activity and I hope I can get to know many of you.
I have just sold my Cobra replica and I'm returning to my love of Italian cars ( I have owned 5 Alfa Romeo's)
I am looking for a 3200GT in really good condition and I have contacts in the UK who can arrrange pick and shipping for me. 3200GT's are much cheaper in the UK and there are more to choose from, so if anyone hears of a good one for sale please let me know. I regularly watch Autotrader and EBay for new listings as well.
I want an Automatic in Grigio Alfieri with a light (Ivory) interior.

Cheers

Ross

Warm welcome Ross , seems our Australian contingent is growing week in week out , hopefully it shows were doing something right on here , if you need any help be sure to ask , indie inspection will be a must before you purchase any 3200 , there great cars but tempremental on the throttle body front later on in the mileage front , easily remedied now by a solid state throttle body conversion , enjoy the hunt without a doubt get a good one and you'll have the biggest grin ever

Welcome Ross. I just imported the Gransport in my thumbnail. The car arrived Monday and I went and had a good look at her this morning. Pleased to say she survived the boat ride dent and scratch free. I went over there and lined up a few cars and chose my own. Had Maranello check it over. With what you save on the Aussie price you can afford to fly over there and choose a car We have a group of about 8 in Melbourne who are getting together in a couple o weeks so we will post some photos. Cheers Geoff

Hi Ross,
I am another Australian that has purchased a UK 3200; however I am in Melbourne.
Do you have a local RAWS engineer that can do the compliance?
If not, I can highly recommend you have a chat with Jim at LCS here in Melbourne.
I can lend a hand from here if you need someone local.
Good luck in your search, and as you have already discovered the guys on this site are the best.

Think Phil H keeps coming back on in the hope of catching the odd glimpse of his Rosso assetto corsa that went to Aussie , would be great to see him back in the fold , anyone got any influence with defence spending , if they could raise the RAF budgets for the next few years sure Phil would be back in a Maserati like a shot were rooting for you Phil

Welcome Ross,

I'm also from Perth and have a 3200 GTA in Rosso Corsa which I absolutely love. It seems like the UK is a great place to shop at the moment and were I to buy again it would be an Assetto Corsa from the UK.

Best of luck with the car hunt, I'm sure you'll find the right one for you but as others advise a PPI is imperative particularly give the harsh UK winters.

Regards,

Neil
