Hi Peeps,

Drove the 3200 to work for its 1st outing in nearly 3 weeks yesterday, en-route home on the flyover from M4 to M25 there is a huge bump where there is a join in the road, I was coming up to it thinking 'I wonder how this is going to feel in the Maser'.... bang, Engine Warning Light on, limited revs.....frack! Had heard this has happened to someone else before so was not overtly worried that I could not get home. Pootled back on limited 2500 revs but as soon as I pulled into my road & tried to park on my drive my revs shot up to 5k (Check Engine Light still on) managed to get it on the drive & switched it off. left it 5 mins & switched it on again & same engine revs shot up to 5k so switched it off, cursed & went indoors thoroughly p*ssed off!

1. I found how to 'Reset the Throttle' on another thread, hopefully this will fix that issue.
2. What about the 'Check Engine Light ' & restricted revs.... I can't find that thread, any suggestions.

I can't leave it another weekend, its only done 150 miles in the whole month

Cheers

Could well be worth checking out the T/body aswell , just a quick clean and lube might do the trick

BTW - Anyone know if there is a manuals post on this site somewhere?

Well, all seems sorted, obeyed the rules of 'Throttle Reset' found on Maserati Forum & voila, all OK, it does get confused occasionally but the reset always seems to cure the issue. Have been advised to change the potentiometer, also wayward oil pressure sensor... for the 4th time (not me thankfully). All s hopefully good now in Ian's Maerati World
Just a Service, Insurance & road tax renewal now to resolve :(

"IAN" sorry for the wrong name mate!

Glad to hear you have sorted it but get the full fix done asap as you will find the limp home becomes wearing after a while.
