Hi All

Noticed the lower part of the rubber trim around my headlights are lifting. Would I be correct in assuming I should apply a bit of sealant and push them back in, or is there a better way of keeping the trim in check?

Thanks :)

Hi V8, It's not uncommon and often the result of power washers. The fit around the lamp isn't brilliant I'm afraid,.. somewhat 'gappy'. You could do as you suggest and with plenty of masking tape to protect the surrounding area just glue the rubbers down with sealant. If you want to go a step further you could remove the front wheel liners, loosen the lamps a little, set the rubbers in place (with sealant if you want) and then re-tighten the lamps, but you'll need to be careful to set the lamps back to the correct alignment.

The rubbers are hooked onto clips around the light it could be the rubber is split...at least you don't end up with a nagging mother blaming you for your indiscretion or a letter from the CSA on this issue.
