Précis? I still remember his piece about driving his GranTurismo home from the factory about December 2007. Brilliant.

I like his jumper. A December review in the ice is a little bit pointless.

Good review but no surprise that he is complaining about traction in the weather. It’s great that it’s being discussed in the same context as the Ferrari and the McLaren and seems to hold it’s own.

The range is appalling if that is representative though.

For some reason I'd had it in my head that the MC20 had mild hybrid technology. Really relieved it doesn't as it means it's much safer to buy in terms of longevity.

The title says says hybrid too but he said it was just a V6 twin turbo.

He definitely didn't like it as much as Evo and other reviewers, he seemed to really take a dislike to the steering.

I'm in the minority of petrolheads where I actually don't like too much steering feel, such as in my 987 Boxster or in the Lotus Evora. It just feels panicky when driving casually but maybe I just never got used to it.

Watched it at lunch. Harry is starting to play for the camera. He was driving like a dick, do all you who moan about tyres drive like that too? I cant use full throttle in that sort of weather in my diesel Merc, let alone something with that sort of power.

That's not such a terrible thing to do considering it is a GT, to be fair. I could quite imagine driving to Switzerland in it, for example.
I ran my Granturismo on winter tyres for the first five or so years largely to be safe in low temps for the occasional use I made of it in winter. Mind I took it out in the snow a couple of times and it was awesome compared with X5s etc on summer tyres. Now it is Dinitrolled and goes nowhere for four months of the year.

I watch most of his reviews and I thought he was really negative about it, especially considering all the other reviews its had

What does it matter what the steering feels like when stationary??

I agree with you. His review is at odds with all the others. I think old age maybe getting to him.

Who does dry steering in any case (especially if you don't have to)?

Changing gear a little I got an email from Egham selling 2 MC20 way below retail (with options). Surprised to see this so soon as I thought they’d be making overs for quite some time. I wonder if they are doing the traditional Maserati depreciation thing! Would be good if the new GT does the same as I’m i interested at half price :D

Was that the 'Ex Management stock' email? Some nice cars on there, was a little surprised to see the MC20 on the list alongside some large savings on the other models.

I found myself with half an hour to kill in Kensington a couple of weeks back so dropped in on HR Owen. They had a couple of MC20s in, a grey one outside and a red one inside. The red one was a customer car waiting collection in special order rosso paint, a 9k option. I want to say rosso vincenze but that sounds more like the guy that painted it! Anyway it was a spectacular colour. Also had carbon pack and numerous other options totalling 70k. It beats me why anyone would order a grey one but then what's it got to do with me, I can’t afford one anyway!
I think I'll be waiting a while for it to depreciate into my price range. Time to put the lottery on

It was that email, but when you got to their website there are a further 3 for sale making a total of 5 immediately available. Quite surprising.

Just stunning cars all of them but 9k for a bit of paint is a rip off.
