Hi all.
Although my main in car entertainment is controlled by sport mode, the throttle pedal and the gear change paddles I have a question about the ICE in my 2019 GT. Although I’m happy with the upgraded head unit with CarPlay etc. I am a little underwhelmed by the power output (supposedly 900w) of the system, particularly lack of base capacity given the enormous sub-woofer type speaker that appears to be under the rear shelf. Just wondered if this should be expected (ie the system isn’t great) or whether the “sub” and other components just are not working.

It just doesn’t seem to produce the power and clarity I would expect from the HK name

From I have read on another forum, the OEM headunit is the main culprit.

Seems the Aucar headunit works wonders with the Bose system, I guess the HK system is similar, just the "updated" version.

If you have changed the headunit, the amp (in the boot) is prob the bit that needs changing.

Thanks, haven’t changed anything, all OEM, but sounds like the system just isn’t up to much!

I am waiting for an Aucar 2.1 headunit and AC control to be delivered. From what I read on MaseratiLife it completely changes the sound quality. I've also ordered the DAB adapter to hopefully improve the radio quality.
